We work primarily with WordPress for sites from single page upwards. But there are times that WordPress might not be the appropriate foundation on which to build your website. In those cases we will use the most appropriate web development methods and technology required to meet your needs.

Do you have a certain look or design in mind for your website? Do you have brochures, business cards, or other marketing materials that you would like your website design to match? If so, we will work hard to give you the design and marketing message that you want your site to portray.

Questions and answers.

How we work with you to create your website.

Every website runs on a server, a computer with software installed that allows it to “serve” your website to multiple visitors at one time from practically anywhere in the world. We offer hosting that is geared to the website you’ve had developed and the size audience that you expect to draw. We can arrange hosting as a standalone product, as part of a package deal with your new website, or as part of an ongoing hosting and maintenance package.
We guarantee the websites that we create to look good and work properly and to meet the requirements of our agreement as of the date and time we release the website files to you. We will continue to keep your website operational if we have a maintenance agreement in place. However, we cannot guarantee our work beyond the initial release when the site is not hosted on our servers and when we have no maintenance agreement in place. The reason is that otherwise, we have no control over the server settings or what others might do that would inadvertantly break the site.
We can help you setup basic SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, which is necessary if you want your website to be available when your current or potential visitors look for you or your services in a search engine such as Google or Bing. The extent to which we provide this service varies from customer to customer and is included in the contract according their needs.
Your customers will want to be able to communicate with you. You can do this telephone, email, chat, or social media. It’s your choice and we can help you by installing contact forms, contact information pages, chat boxes, and social media connections.
We work with all our customers on a one to one basis. We do not publish prices for our custom website creation services. There are too many variables involved to do that. However, our goal is to provide you with the best website creation that we can, and at the same time, make it affordable for you.
Most projects are handled online. If necessary, we’ll meet with you in person to get a feel for your needs and desires concerning your website project. (Please note, we can work with anyone anywhere, but we only meet in person if the client is in our immediate geographical area of northern middle Tennessee.) We will have telephone conversations when necessary and may employ technologies such as Zoom calls (similar to Skype). Contracts, invoicing, and billing are handled almost entirely online. Phone calls are normally taken during normal business hours between 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m..
Yes, we do for our website creation clients who desire it. Websites are rarely "set it and forget it" projects. Websites such as those built on the Wordpress platform require regular updates to keep the site secure and fully operational. We highly recommend that clients take advantage of our maintenance plans so they never have to worry about the upkeep on their sites. We update core applications, plugins, and themes, as well as maintaining regular backups. We cannot stand behind the security and maintenance of even those websites which we create unless the client agrees to a maintenance plan.
Every customer is given the information they need to contact us in case support is needed. They can use th email address that is provided to them or they can log in to the client area on this website to submit a support ticket. We will have their issue resolved as quickly as possible.
First, the quality of both websites is the same. Both are responsive and mobile-ready. Both include blogs and contact forms. Both can be customized to match the clients needs. The difference is in the extent of those customizations. Websites that include custom features like additional artistic work, forums, food menus, membership capabilities, and a host of others are custom sites and priced according to the amount of work involved in creating the finished website.
Most websites will include images and/or artwork. A logo is a good example. If you have an image of your company logo that you would like included on your website, we can normally use that image to do so. If you have the original finished art from your logo designer, that would give the best results. We can also use other images such as photos of yourself, your products, your place of business and more. There are certain requirements that images must meet if they are to be used successfully on a website, but those requirements are not difficult to meet. It’s likely that your existing images can be used.
The size of every image used on a website can be measured in kilobytes (KB) or megabytes (MB). The higher the number of either, the "heavier" the image is. Images that are too heavy can cause a web page to load slowly in browsers. Optimizing images is a process of digitally decreasing the weight (number of KB or MB)of the image, thereby improving the load speed of the page.
Some websites can get by with one page. Others work better with the site broken into several separate pages. We will use the method that is best for your particular project, and the method that gives you and your viewers the best experience and load time.
Many website owners need or want to include extra features on their sites. Among them are shopping carts, menus, payment services, and the ability to set appointments online. We can provide those features and more. Such features often come with small fees, subscriptions, or purchases from the providers of the services. We will work with you to provide the best features we can in the most cost efficient way for you.
You can pay for our services in several ways. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, Diners Club, and American Express cards. We also accept PayPal. It is possible that arrangements can be made on larger projects. The decision whether or not to accept payment arrangements is ours to make and is made on a case by case basis. Please note that all payments are to be made in U.S. dollars.
We offer certain book production services such as layout, formatting, and cover design for independently published authors. If you have a need in that area, feel free to contact us. We’ll be happy to discuss your needs to see if we can help you.
